Meet Rory Kendrick, Assistant Branch Manager at Brighton Kemptown.

Apprentice Scheme undertaken: CMI Leadership

Rory has been with the company for 10 years, starting as a Warehouse/Relief driver, and most recently progressing to Assistant Branch Manager in 2013. Rory was nominated by his Regional Director for the Apprenticeship.

"I knew it was very much something I wanted to do in order to aid my career progression and to have a further understanding in business and people management" said Rory.

"I thought the workshops were fantastic, we had a great group of people on the course whose own experiences were really interesting to discuss in sessions. Everyone was really eager to learn and help with the understanding on the course subjects. The workshops were interesting and got the whole group working together, which was great for meeting new friends and acquaintances".

The on the job experience allowed Rory to implement his learning in branch. It also allowed Rory the opportunity to coach fellow colleagues which helped with their development as well discussing ways to better processes in branch.
