City Plumbing Strengthens Commitment to Renewable Energy by Joining Heat Pump Association

In a move to further solidify its dedication to sustainable solutions, City Plumbing has officially joined the UK Heat Pump Association (HPA). The HPA is a key organisation working to promote the widespread adoption of heat pumps throughout the UK, advocating for their benefits and collaborating with the government to achieve net-zero goals.
This membership marks a significant milestone for City Plumbing, making them the first national plumbing and heating merchant to join the HPA. The company sees this as an opportunity to share their unique supply chain insights and actively contribute to the growing heat pump industry.
Dave Evans, CEO of City Plumbing, emphasised the company's desire to provide a fresh perspective to the HPA, drawing on their deep understanding of the supply chain and installer challenges. He stated, "Joining the HPA underscores our resolute commitment to supporting the shift towards renewable energy and low-temperature heating solutions in the UK."
Hemal Morjaria, Managing Director of Renewables and Electrical at City Plumbing, highlighted the crucial role installers play in achieving the government's net-zero targets. He expressed his enthusiasm about advocating for installers within the HPA and fostering positive change in the industry. City Plumbing has been actively involved in training and upskilling installers, and their membership in the HPA aligns with their ongoing commitment to supporting the adoption of renewable technologies.
The company's recent initiatives, including the opening of a second Renewables Centre and their Electrification of Heat events, demonstrate their proactive approach to promoting and facilitating the transition to renewable energy sources.
